If you are up for some adventure in Dalmatia, rafting down Cetina river is an experience you must not miss! The ending location of the rafting tour is Cetina’s canyon, a marvel of nature, a truly mesmerizing sight.
If you stand and look up towards the canyon, you will be a scene of incomparable natural elegance. The mountain seems like walls going meters in height. What seems a thousand feet of this rises up through granite rocks, steep as it can get; then the gentler slopes rise one above the other to the summit. The cracks in the stones, black and narrow at first glance, become red and gray and flaring when the sun hits when from above. A sparse but resilient vegetation grows on the stone walls which, cut in many places by elements of nature for centuries, seem to be a vast wilderness of untamed rocks. The river flows through it, at times sweeping gently along and at times the rapids seem to come out of nowhere.
Rafting on the Cetina River is the most popular and most attended adventurous trip in Dalmatia. Rafting in the protected area of the river canyon attracts many tourists every summer. The quiet parts of the river and the second and third grade rapids enable a three-hour combination of adventure and relaxation in the amazing Cetina river canyon. Our journey through the crystal-green waters of the Cetina usually ends with a barbecue lunch on the banks of the river.
